Betting exchanges are one of the coolest concepts of betting. They can offer very little juice and very enjoyable time. Betting exchanges are like marketplaces where players put their odds for selling and Betfair is the biggest online betting exchange. This concept was pioneered by the people behind Betfair. With it Betfair works as a matchmaker, it doesn’t take on the action itself by posting odds, which means low juice and great lines. Instead players post odds themselves and make bets by backing the odds (placing bets with them) or laying them (posting their own odds that players can back by betting with them).
Betfair has a couple of different promotions, but the one that we want is the £50 free bet given to new players. Just sign up at Betfair and make a deposit with one of the payment methods offered. As soon as you have your funds available in your Betfair account place a bet of at least £5 on a selection with odds of 1.20 (1/5) or more in the first 30 days of registering and Betfair will refund your stake with up to £50.
Taking part in this promotion and using the free bet is possible only if you fulfill certain criteria. You cannot claim and use the free bet if you have multiple accounts. If you do so Betfair has the right to take away your free bet and all winnings made with it. The free bet can be used only on the sportsbook. Exchange bets are excluded from this promotion. Within 24 hours, after your qualifying bet has been accepted by Betfair, you will be offered a free bet with an equal value to your qualifying bet, but no more than £50. You are obliged to use your free bet within 30 days after receiving it on any sportsbook (fixed odds) market at odds of at least 1.20 (1/5).
You can use your free bet only once, and to use it just add a selection in the bet slip at odds as stated in the free bet terms and conditions, and if you make more than one selection the free bet will be applied to the selection with the longest odds. Don’t stake less than £50 with the free bet, since anything that remains from it you will not be able to use further.
- Visit Betfair’s website to open your betting account by clicking our exclusive banner which will take you to the home page of Betfair where you can begin with the registration process.
- When you arrive at the home page of Betfair click the ‘Join Now’ button in the top right corner of the website and fill out the registration form in order to get your Betfair account.
- You will need to fill in all the information that Betfair requests of you, such as your name, surname, address, telephone, email etc. Make sure to enter a username and password that you can easily remember.
- Before clicking on the grey ‘Open account’ button to finish registering, tick the box to confirm that you're over 18 and that you agree to the Terms & Conditions. Once you have registered your account, you can make your first deposit.
- As soon as your funds become available in your account you will need to place a sports bet between £5 and £50 at odds of 1.20 (1/5) or more, and your first bet will be matched with a free bet of the same amount.
