West Ham and Chelsea 21/20 for both teams to score in Sundays Premier League clash

Competition: Premier League

Market: Both teams to score at Chelsea vs West Ham

Odds: 21/20 @ Bet365

With the Premier League table reaching the business end of the season, English football’s top-tier remains incredibly tight at both ends of the table with just a single point seeing a team jump several places. On that note, defending champions Chelsea will welcome West Ham to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

For the hosts on Sunday, after crashing out of this seasons Champions League and relinquishing their Premier League crown, Chelsea know that their omission from the top-four is all but confirmed. After 31 games this season, Chelsea have won 17, drawn five and lost nine, scoring 53 and conceding 30. With a points tally of 56, the defending champions now find themselves sat in fifth position and the Blues are now eight points adrift of Tottenham in fourth, all but confirming Europa League football for the West London club next season. As for their recent form, most recently coming off the back of a 3-1 home defeat to Spurs, Chelsea have now won two in their last seven, losing four, drawing one. Chelsea have also failed to record a single clean sheet in their last seven matches in all competitions.

As for West Ham, although they can best be described as inconsistent, the Hammers have extended their advantage above the relegation zone and will fancy their chances of avoiding the drop. After 31 Premier League games this season, West Ham have won eight, drawn nine and lost 14, scoring 39 and conceding 57 in return, the east London club hold the joint second worst defensive record in the division. With a points tally of 33, the Hammers now sit 14th in the table and hold a five-point buffer over the relegation zone, West Ham now sit four points adrift of breaking into the top half of the table. As for their recent form, coming off the back of a 3-0 home win against Southampton last weekend, West Ham have now won two in their last five, losing the remaining three.
