West Brom’s Saido Berahino 6/5 to stay at the Hawthorns

Competition: Premier League
Market: Saido Berahino to stay at West Brom
Odds: 6/5 @ 888 Sport

West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino was linked with a host of clubs in the close of the season, with the 21-year-old having enjoyed a prolific campaign for goals. The England U21 international scored 14 goals in 38 league games last season, and was tied for a move as a result.

Liverpool were the side winning the race for his signature, but the Merseysiders recently signed Danny Ings, and have added to their side with Divock Origi this summer so they are overstocked on strikers. It leaves Berahino thin on options away from the Midlands club ahead of the new season, so he’s likely to stay at the Hawthorns.

With a strong 18 months for form in the Premier League, Saido Berahino’s stock has greatly risen with West Brom, but a badly-timed injury coupled with a lack of interest is likely to play into the hands of Albion manager Tony Pulis, who has been adamant all summer that the striker wouldn’t be leaving.

And as a result, 888 Sport are giving odds of 6/5 for the 21-year-old to stay with West Brom ahead of the new season.
