Valencia 4/7 to win against Alaves in Thursday’s Spanish La Liga clash

Posted September 21st, 2016 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Spanish La Liga
Market: Valencia to win against Alaves
Odds: 4/7 @ William Hill

Valencia welcome Alaves to the Mestalla Stadium in the Spanish La Liga on Thursday evening, and are hoping to finally pick up their first win of the season against a side who haven’t been full of goals early on, despite their impressive start.

Home side Valencia are currently rock bottom in the Spanish La Liga without a point from their first four games. Los Che have the second-worst defence in the division, but they can score goals, averaging two or more per home game so far this season.

Visitors Alaves will be defensive minded to try and not concede, but their lack of goals could see Valencia taking advantage. The away side have started the new season strongly, picking up five points from four games to remain unbeaten and in the top-10, but away from home they’re yet to shut a side out.

Valencia have scored goals on home soil this season despite the defeats, and if they can finally start to quell a side’s threat, they can turn their form around. Alaves have scored just three goals from their four league games this season so Valencia will fancy their chances at the Mestalla Stadium.

As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 4/7 for Valencia to win against Alaves.
