Turkey 17/20 to win Monday’s international friendly against Bulgaria

Posted June 7th, 2015 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: International friendly
Market: Turkey to win against Bulgaria
Odds: 17/20 @ William Hill

Turkey host Bulgaria in an international friendly on Monday, with the home side the far superior outfit. Boasting top European talent such as Gokhan Gonul (Fenerbahce), Arda Turan (Atletico Madrid), Burak Yilmaz (Galatasaray) and Umut Bulut (Galatasaray), Turkey should have enough quality in the team to come out on top, despite their being a lack of competitive edge.

The Red and Whites have been in good form of late too, drawing against the Netherlands earlier this year, while beating Luxembourg in March. It followed a 2014 that saw Turkey beat Sweden, the Republic of Ireland, Honduras and Denmark in friendlies, so they have a good recent record in games such as these.

Bulgaria do have some talented individuals, but are ultimately considerably inferior to the opposition ahead of Monday’s game, and William Hill are giving odds of 17/20 for the quality of Turkey to shine through. The visitors failed to win four of their six games played in all competitions last season, so they aren’t in the best shape to face a strong Turkey side.
