Two teams that have spent the majority of the new season battling it out at the foot of the Eastern Conference, in the early hours of Thursday morning Toronto FC welcome DC United to BMO Field.

For the hosts on Thursday, despite winning the MLS outright last year, Toronto have drastically struggled to match last years pace and now find themselves in a battle at the other end of the table. With a points tally of 14 after 13 games, Toronto have won four, drawn two and lost seven, the hosts currently find themselves ninth in the Eastern Conference and hold a five-point advantage over their guests on Thursday. As for their recent run of form, Toronto have lost just one of their last four and The Reds have now managed to find the net at least twice in five of their last seven.

As for the visitors, after finishing bottom of the Eastern Conference last season, while DC have managed to book their spot in the fifth round of the US Open Cup, United have only managed to pick up two wins in their 11 MLS outings and have also only managed to win one of their last seven meetings with Toronto. As for their form of late, now losing three of their last six, while the visitors have managed to find the net in their last seven matches on the bounce, DC have only recorded one clean sheet in their last 20 matches in all competitions.
