Swansea 10/11 to pile the misery onto out-of-form Newcastle on Saturday

Posted October 3rd, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Premier League
Market: Swansea to win against Newcastle
Odds: 10/11 @ Betfair

Swansea City have endured poor form recently, but are hoping they can turn it around when they come up against Newcastle this weekend. The Jacks are sitting in a lofty fifth place in the Premier League, with Garry Monk’s side having won three and drawn one of their first six games.

They face a Newcastle side currently joint-bottom of the Premier League, winless from their first six games. Alan Pardew’s men have failed to score in four of their league outings and don’t look like arresting the slide anytime soon.

As a result, Betfair are giving odds of 10/11 for Swansea City to get all three points, which is just what they need to continue their pursuit for a top-half finish. Newcastle are fearful of relegation after their appalling start to the campaign, and manager Alan Pardew faces pressure surrounding his position at the club.

They desperately need a win, but have lost seven of their last eight away games in the top flight, so it won’t be easy.
