Struggling Leeds 13/5 to get relegated from the Championship this season

Posted August 11th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Championship
Market: Leeds to get relegated
Odds: 13/5 @ Coral

Leeds United lost their opening game of the new season, and the Yorkshire side are now being tipped for the drop under new manager Dave Hockaday.

With club owner Massimo Cellino in control of the players coming in and going out, many believe United will endure a woeful campaign due to them having sold last season’s top goalscorer Ross McCormack. They lost 21 games in 2013/14, and have been on the losing side on 71 occasions in the last three years.

Millwall beat the Whites 2-0 on the weekend, and it appears Leeds are going to struggle in the second tier with the club having undergone so many changes.

It’s been a decade to forget for Leeds. Since relegation from the Premier League in 2003/04, the side have endured another relegation to League One, while currently now just struggling for top-half finishes in the Championship.

They have finished bottom half of the second tier for the last three campaigns, and Coral are giving odds of 13/5 for Leeds to get relegation this season as a result.
