Competition: Premier League
Market: Slaven Bilic to be next West Ham manager
Odds: 5/6 @ Betfair

With West Ham having parted company with Sam Allardyce, the Londoners having a managerial vacancy to fill this summer. They ended the season on a poor note, but do have a decent squad of players, and good resources to strengthen. The club hierarchy are weighing up all their options, but one name that stands out is former Croatia head coach Slaven Bilic.

A well-known Premier League star in his playing days, the 46-year-old has a good reputation in management, and boasts a wealth of experience to boot. He’s the bookies favourite to take the job with the Londoners, and has been waiting a long time to make his return to the English top-flight as a manager.

Bilic has been in charge of Hajduk Split, Croatia U21, Croatia, Lokomotiv Moscow and Beşiktaş, with over 220 games under his coaching belt. West Ham are looking for a manager who can stabilise the club, while providing progression to take them into the top-half on a regular basis.

As a result, Betfair are giving odds of 5/6 for Bilic to be appointed the next West Ham manager, likely to be early this summer to ensure he can embark upon his work with plenty of time to get to know the side inside and out.
