Real Madrid 3/1 to be the first team to retain the Champions League this season following Kroos & Rodriguez arrivals

Competition: Champions League
Market: Real Madrid to win the Champions League
Odds: 3/1 @ William Hill

Real Madrid took 12 years to win the Champions League again following their 2002 triumph, but there’s reason to believe they can win it in back-to-back seasons, which would be the first time a club has achieved it since the name change from European cup.

While Barcelona and Bayern Munich have both strengthen their team’s attacking options with Luis Suarez and Robert Lewandowski respectively, Real Madrid look to have done the best business this summer with the signing of Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez.

Real will boast the best attacking personnel in the world in their squad, meaning manager Carlo Ancelotti has a wide array of top talent to choose for any situation. The La Liga title chasers will have strength in depth to ensure they can challenge for league and European honours, and William Hill are giving them odds of 3/1 to win the Champions League against as a result.

Multiple league-title winner, Champions League winner and World Cup winner Toni Kroos will be at the heart of Real’s midfield, and World Cup Golden Boot winner James Rodriguez will be another attacking option. Real have a deadly side.
