Real Madrid 2/5 to see past Valencia in tonight’s La Liga clash

Posted May 9th, 2015 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Spanish La Liga
Market: Real Madrid to win against Valencia
Odds: 2/5 @ William Hill

Real Madrid host Valencia tonight, with both sides needing a win for different reasons. Carlo Ancelotti’s men are strong in their own backyard, and need all three points in their pursuit to win the La Liga title. They are in good form of late too, winning seven consecutive games in the division, so tonight’s opponents Valencia have a tricky task to get a result.

Los Che are no slouches, however. Three wins from their last five league games sees them in decent shape. Their biggest Achilles heel is their form away from home. Valencia have failed to win in four of their last five league games on the road, which has seen them lose ground on the title-chasing clubs.

They’re still on course for a place in the Champions League next season based on their current finish in the table, but could do with a win from their remaining three matches to ensure Sevilla won’t catch them up. With Real Madrid so strong on home soil, and Valencia having been so disappointing away, William Hill are giving odds of 2/5 for Ancelotti’s men to pick up three points tonight.
