Poland 2/7 to qualify from Group C in Euro 2016 this summer

Posted June 10th, 2016 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Euro 2016
Market: Poland to qualify
Odds: 2/7 @ William Hill

Poland’s Euro 2016 campaign begins this weekend, and they will fancy their chances of getting off to a good start to boost their hopes of progressing from Group C into the latter stages. They have Germany, Ukraine and Northern Ireland for competition, but will fancy their chances of finishing behind Germany in second place.

Poland should dispatch of Northern Ireland when the two sides lock horns, and they could come away with a positive result. Even world champions Germany have suffered defeats ahead of their opening Euro 2016 encounter, so Poland do have a great opportunity for a deep run on the tournament.

Adam Nawałka’s are a much more patient side in possession now, focusing on retain the ball and creating clear-cut opportunities with threaded passes and accurate crosses, rather than the robust approach they once used. And given their collective industry and teamwork in the side, Poland should have no problems in their group.

As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 2/7 for Poland to qualify from Group C to reach the second round of the 2016 European Championships this summer.
