Norwich striker Gary Hooper to end goal drought against Stoke this weekend

Posted March 7th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Premier League
Market: Gary Hooper to score anytime against Stoke
Odds: 15/8 @ Bet 365

Since his move from Celtic this summer, striker Gary Hooper hasn’t settled as well as he would have liked with Norwich City this season – with just five goals in 23 Premier League games – and he’s currently on a run of 10 league outings with a goal for the Canaries.

However, there is renewed hope for the Englishman. Stoke City are Norwich’s next opponents, and Mark Hughes’ side have a woeful away record this season – averaging two goals conceded per game. As a result, Bet 365 are giving great odds of 15/8 for Hooper to score anytime against the Potters this weekend.

The 26-year old has been a regular in the starting lineup all campaign since recovering from injury as manager Chris Hughton has been desperate for goals from his side. With Hooper having arrived at Carrow Road off the back of three consecutive Celtic golden boot awards and having netted more than 80 goals in over 130 games, it’s been surprising how much he’s struggled in the Premier League, but he could well put that to rest with a goal against Stoke on Saturday.
