Posted March 25th, 2017 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: World Cup qualifier
Market: Northern Ireland to win against Norway
Odds: 7/5 @ William Hill

Northern Ireland welcome Norway to Windsor Park in Sunday’s World Cup qualifier, and are favourites to pick up all three points to potentially narrow the deficit to leaders Germany should results go their way. Northern Ireland are in form while Norway can’t arrest the slide, and the hosts should come out on top as a result.

Hosts Northern Ireland are currently second in Group C with seven points from four games in the qualifiers, coming off the back of two wins from their last three outings. Northern Ireland have beaten the likes of San Marino and Azerbaijan and their 100% home record so far should see them over the likes against a travel-sick Norway.

As for the visitors, Norway find themselves fifth in the division with three points from a possible 12, having suffered three defeats against Germany, Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic. Norway have lost both away games in the qualifiers too and are expected to come unstuck when the travel to Windsor Park this weekend.

As a result of the contrasting form of the two sides, William Hill are giving odds of 7/5 for Northern Ireland to win against Norway in Sunday’s qualifier.
