Manchester City 2/5 to win against Borussia Monchengladbach in tonight’s Champions League clash

Posted September 14th, 2016 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Champions League
Market: Man City to win against Gladbach
Odds: 2/5 @ William Hill

Manchester City host Borussia Monchengladbach at the Etihad Stadium in tonight’s Champions League Group C clash, and the in-form Sky Blues are favourites to get off to a winning start to boost their hopes of topping the table.

Home side City boast six wins from six in the Premier League and Champions League qualifiers, having seen past Sunderland, Stoke City, West Ham United and Manchester United, while thrashing Steaua Bucharest in home and away legs in the Champions League.

The Sky Blues are in pole position to see past Borussia Monchengladbach tonight as a result of their fine form under new manager Pep Guardiola, and considering they’ve averaged more than three goals per game in all competitions, City could tear Gladbach apart.

As for visitors Borussia Monchengladbach, the Germans lost their last away game and have been very leaky defensively. The away side lost away from home in their last Bundesliga game, and have conceded six goals in their four games in all competitions too, while having failed to keep a clean sheet this season so far.

As a result, William Hill are backing Manchester City with odds of 2/5 to win against Monchengladbach this evening.
