Man City evens to beat Liverpool when the two sides lock horns for pre-season friendly

Competition: Club Friendly
Market: Man City to win against Liverpool
Odds: evens @ William Hill

Manchester City are the favourites to beat Liverpool when the two Premier League heavyweights go head-to-head, and the strength of the Citizens’ side compared to that of Brendan Rodgers’ has been made evident this summer.

City still have players such as Yaya Toure, Fernandinho, Samir Nasri, David Silva and Jesus Navas in the midfield, but Liverpool have a more English look to the side with Adam Lallana, Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling.

It just doesn’t compare, and as a result William Hill are giving odds of evens for Manchester City to win against Liverpool.

Holders City are the second-favourites to win the 2014/15 title, while Liverpool are being tipped to finish outside of the top-four. Considering only two points separate the sides in the league last season, it’s been a monumental fall from grace for the Reds. They’ll not want to lose against City, even for a friendly.
