With the Premier League table reaching the business end of the season, English football’s top division remains incredibly tight at both ends of the table with just a single point seeing a team jump several places. On that note, Crystal Palace will look to shore up their chances of avoiding the drop when they travel to Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.

For the hosts on Saturday afternoon, after replacing Marco Silva with Javi Garcia, Watford have struggled to adapt to life under their new manager and look set for a bottom half finish this year. After 34 Premier League games this season, Watford have won 10, drawn seven and lost 17, scoring 42 and conceding 60, Watford boasts the second worst defensive record in the league. With a points tally of 37, Watford now sit 12th in the table and while they’re nine points clear of the bottom three with four games remaining, the Hornets are now four points adrift of the top half of the table. As for their recent form, the North London club have shown no real signs of improving. Watford are now on a five-match winless run, losing four and drawing one, they have also conceded 13 goals in their last five appearances.

As for the visitors, after having their own managerial issues at the turn of the New Year, Crystal Palace are now in a battle to move away from the drop zone. After 34 Premier League games this season, Palace have won eight, drawn 10 and lost 16, scoring 36 and conceding 54. With a points tally of 34, Crystal Palace now sit 16th in the table and now hold a six-point buffer over the drop zone after an impressive resurge. Palace have now lost one in their last four, winning two and drawing one, thanks to talisman Wilfred Zaha, the Eagles have also found their finishing touch. The winger now has three in his last two and Palace have now found the net in each of their last six.
