Can Stoke continue formidable home record against Arsenal?

Posted February 27th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Premier League
Market: Stoke to win or draw against Arsenal
Odds: 6/5 @ William Hill

Stoke City home’s form in the Premier League has continued to be as formidable under manager Mark Hughes as it was with his predecessor Tony Pulis. Arsenal can certainly testify to how the Potters can frustrate their opponents and get a result at the Britannia against any opponent – with City having amassed 21 points from 13 games this season – just two defeats.

Arsenal know all too well how difficult it is to leave with a victory, with Arsene Wenger’s men having only beaten the Potters once since the inception of the Premier League. The 3-1 win over Stoke at the Britannia in 2010 was the last time Wenger ever masterminded victory away to City, and as a result William Hill are giving odds of 6/5 for Stoke to either win or draw when the two sides meet this weekend.

The Gunners are in desperate need to maintain their title challenge in the last 11 games of the season, so they can ill-afford to drop points to their bogey team. But will Stoke once again remain unbeaten against Arsenal at home?
