Two sides who will have their sights set on a promotion push in the second half of the season, Bristol City will welcome Swansea to Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while it might have been a sluggish start for Bristol City, the Robins have shown real signs of improvement since entering the New Year. In their 28 Championship games this season, they have won 12, drawn eight and lost eight, scoring 35 and conceding 29 in return. With a points tally of 44, another win for Saturday’s hosts could see them climb into the playoff positions. As for their recent run of form, the Reds have now won their last six matches across all competitions and have now scored in each of their last seven matches at Ashton Gate.

As for the visitors, Swansea are also looking to put an inconsistent start behind them and mount a late charge up the table. In their 29 Championship games this season, they have won 11, drawn eight and lost 10, scoring 40 and conceding 35 in return. With a points tally of 41, the Swans currently sit 11th in the table, however, a win for the visitors could see them leapfrog City in the table. As for their recent run of form, Swansea are now unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions, scoring seven goals in their last two appearances. Given both sides goalscoring exploits of late, we’re backing both teams to score at Ashton Gate this Saturday.
