Borussia Dortmund 4/11 to win against Benfica in Wednesday’s Champions League clash

Competition: Champions League
Market: Dortmund to win against Benfica
Odds: 4/11 @ William Hill

Borussia Dortmund welcome Benfica to the Westfalenstadion in the second leg of Wednesday’s Champions League last-16 clash, and are big favourites to come out on top, as well as to overturn their 1-0 aggregate deficit to book their place in the quarter-finals of the European competition.

Thomas Tuchel’s Borussia Dortmund side are coming off the back of three consecutive wins in all competitions ahead of their clash with Benfica, and haven’t lost at home all season. BVB have scored 12 goals in their last three matches and need to win by two clear goals to progress at Benfica’s expense.

Their recent form suggests it’s possible but the visitors are no slouches. Benfica have won six on the bounce in all competitions ahead of their trip to the Westfalenstadion but were second-best in the first leg despite winning. Dortmund dominated the encounter and are formidable at home, and with Benfica having lost two of their last four away games, this week’s clash could go the hosts’ way.

As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 4/11 for Borussia Dortmund to win against Benfica in Wednesday’s Champions League clash, to book their place in the quarter-finals.
