Swansea 17/11 to lead West Brom at half-time

Posted March 14th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Premier League
Market: Swansea to be leading at half-time
Odds: 17/11 @ 888 Sport

Swansea & West Brom meet this weekend which has been billed as a ‘defining game’ by Swans manager Garry Monk. With both sides currently in a precarious position in the Premier League, only a win will do in their fight for survival.

However, West Brom’s situation is much worse than that of their opponents leading into this weekend’s clash – they cannot buy a win and they cannot keep a clean sheet. Pepe Mel’s men have conceded in every one of their last nine league games – of which they haven’t won. Albion have conceded a first-half goal in their last seven league outings, and Swansea are being backed by 888 Sports with odds of 17/11 to be leading the game at half-time.

With the Baggies only keeping one clean sheet in their last 18 matches, Swansea scoring is not only a big possibility, but a formality unless Mel can finally mastermind the side to solidify the defence.

Relegation is a real worry for the Midlands side with how woeful their recent form has been, and they lost 2-0 to Swansea when the two sides met earlier in the season at the Hawthorns.
