West Brom 17/20 to win ‘do or die’ relegation six-pointer against Cardiff City

Competition: Premier League
Market: West Brom to win against Cardiff
Odds: 17/20 @ Ladbrokes

West Bromwich Albion host Cardiff City this weekend in a match billed as a relegation six-pointer. Baggies midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu even described the match as ‘do or die’, as it could have huge ramifications for the losing team.

Albion find themselves in 16th place in the Premier League, 28 points from 30 games. Pepe Mel’s men are three points clear of the drop zone. Their opponents are currently in 19th place, with 25 points from 31. Defeat for City could all but seal their fate with games running out to make back the points deficit.

West Brom are being backed for victory by Ladbrokes with odds of 17/20 as the Midlands side have been in better form coming into this weekend’s meeting.

Mel’s side have lost just five games from 14, but have only amassed a meagre tally of 13 points. Cardiff have just two wins from their previous 16 games, and have conceded 14 goals in their last five.

West Brom lost 1-0 to Cardiff when the two sides met earlier this season, but they will be hoping home advantage will see them get a valuable three points on Saturday.
