Two sides who find themselves seeking a real boost this weekend, Montreal will host Toronto in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Starting with the hosts, once again having to settle for a single point last weekend, Montreal really are a side seeking some stability at the back end of the campaign. In their 21 MLS matchups so far this season, they have recorded seven wins, seven draws and seven defeats, scoring 27 and conceding 26 in return. Managing to muster a points tally of 28, they open Saturday’s fixtures sat sixth in the Eastern Conference and holding just a one-point buffer from dropping out of the Final Series places. However, as for their recent run of results, last seen playing out a 1-1 draw against Philadelphia Union on the road, Montreal have managed to win just one of their last eight MLS matchups. Likewise, it should also be noted that Saturday’s hosts have seen seven of those eight matchups finish with under 3.5 goals.

As for the visitors, only continuing on what has been a woeful run of form, Toronto find themselves in the midst of a real nightmare. In their 21 MLS matchups so far this season, they have recorded just three wins, six draws and 12 defeats, scoring 25 and conceding 44 in return. Managing to muster just a points tally of 15, The Reds open this weekend’s fixtures sat rock-bottom of the Eastern Conference and already 12 points adrift of the Final Series spots. As for their recent run of results, once again hit with another defeat away at Inter Miami last time out, Toronto have lost their last three matchups on the spin and they have collected just two points from their last six attempts. it should also be noted, with Saturday’s guests failing to bag over 1.5 goals in just one of their last six MLS contests, we’re backing what could be another low-scoring meeting here.
