Two sides who still find themselves leading the chase in the Final Series hunt, Minnesota will host the Colorado Rapids on Sunday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Minnesota might still be hanging onto their spot in the top-seven, they are seeking some stability come the back end of the campaign. In their 27 MLS matchups so far this season, they have recorded 10 wins, eight draws and nine defeats, scoring 30 and conceding 32 in return. Managing to muster a points tally of 38, they open this weekend’s fixtures sat seventh in the Western Conference and holding onto the final play-off spot thanks to a one-point buffer. As for their recent run of results, last seen playing out a 0-0 stalemate away at Dallas, Minnesota have managed to win just a pair of their last six MLS contests. However, recording a clean sheet in three of their last four fixtures, it’s also worth highlighting that Sunday’s hosts have recorded three home clean sheets on the spin.

As for the visitors, coming off the back of what was a thumping defeat on the road, Seattle find themselves in a very similar position to Sunday’s opponents. In their 27 MLS matchups so far this season, they have recorded 13 wins, nine draws and five defeats, scoring 38 and conceding 27 in return. . Managing to muster a points tally of 48, they open this weekend’s fixtures sat third in the Western Conference and holding a commanding 11-point buffer from dropping out of the Final Series place. However, as for their recent run of results, hit with a deserved defeat away at league leaders Seattle last time out, Colorado have managed to win just one of their last six MLS contests. Now drawing a blank in two of their last three domestic contests, we’re backing what could be a cagey affair here.
