Tottenham’s Tim Sherwood 21/5 to be next manager to leave

Competition: Premier League
Market: Tim Sherwood next Premier League manager to leave his post
Odds: 21/5 @ Betfair

After a 3-1 home defeat to Benfica in the Europa League, Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood finds his job under increased pressure. It’s been a very bad few weeks for the London side as they have lost four of their last five games in all competitions.

After his infamous rant against a number of the squad ‘playing for their future’, Sherwood’s own future appears to be sealed with club owner Daniel Levy expected to relieve the former youth coach of his duties in the near future. Betfair are giving odds of 21/15 for Sherwood to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post as a result of the side’s poor form and his abrasive interviews.

They have a North London derby game against Arsenal next on Sunday, and defeat to their fellow locals could seal his fate. A number of names are being touted as Sherwood’s summer replacement, but the 45-year old remains for the time being.

Top-4 hopes could be shattered if they lose to the Gunners this weekend, and they will be out of Europe if they can’t score three and win by two clear goals in the second leg of the Europa League against Benfica. Sherwood would be fortunate to be in a job if such a thing happened.
