Tottenham 5/6 to beat West Brom and over 1.5 goals in Sunday’s Premier League matchup

Competition: Premier League

Market: Tottenham win and over 1.5 goals

Odds: 5/6 @ 888sport

Looking to cash in on their recent domestic unbeaten run, Tottenham will make the trip to a struggling West Brom on Sunday lunchtime.

Starting with the hosts, putting in another dreadful display last weekend, West Brom find themselves in the midst of a hugely concerning run of form. In their opening seven Premier League contests so far this season, they are yet to record a single victory with three draws against four defeats, scoring six and conceding 16 in return. Along with collecting just a points tally of three and opening this weekend’s fixtures in the relegation zone, it should also be noted that the Baggies hold the worst-defensive record in the division. As for their recent run of results, hit with a 2-0 defeat against fellow scrappers Fulham last time out, West Brom have failed to win any of their last seven contests across all competitions and have also managed to record just a single strike in any of their last four matchups on the bounce.

As for the visitors, managing to make a welcomed return to winning ways earlier in the week, Tottenham find themselves enjoying an extended domestic unbeaten run. In their opening seven Premier League matchups so far this season, they have recorded four wins, two draws and one defeat, scoring 18 and conceding nine in return. Opening this weekend’s fixtures sat in the final Champions League spot and just two points adrift from leapfrogging their way to the top of the table, it should also be noted that Spurs hold the best-attacking record in the division. As for their recent run of results, Tottenham are unbeaten in their last six Premier League fixtures since the opening weekend and have collected 10 points over their last four outings. Given the recent gulf in class between the two sides, we’re backing a convincing away victory this weekend.
