Switzerland 1/5 to win to nil in tonight’s Euro 2016 qualifier against San Marino

Posted October 9th, 2015 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Euro 2016 Qualifier
Market: Switzerland to win to nil against San Marino
Odds: 1/5 @ Bet 365

Switzerland host San Marino in Group E of the Euro 2016 qualifiers this evening, and could all but book their place in next year’s European Championships with a win against the minnows. Second in the table after eight games, while having won five of their last six qualifiers, the home side are big favourites to pick up all three points against the whipping boys.

San Marino are winless in Group E, and have only mustered one goal in eight games so far. They have lost four on the bounce, and have conceded 27 goals for their troubles. The underdogs were comprehensively thrashed 4-0 by the Red and Whites when the two sides last locked horns in the group, and history could well repeat itself given recent form.

Switzerland have won three on the bounce in their own backyard, while their opposition have lost all four away games in the group. And with San Marino scoring just one goal in the qualifiers, Bet 365 are giving odds of 1/5 for the hosts to earn all three points and a clean sheet in tonight’s outing.
