Stoke City 1/5 to finish in the bottom-half of the Premier League table this season

Posted December 2nd, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Premier League
Market: Stoke to finish in the bottom-half
Odds: 1/5 @ Ladbrokes

Stoke City are having an inconsistent campaign so far, with the Potters having lost six of their 13 games played already. Mark Hughes’ men have failed to pick up where they left off last season, and it could see them in for a season of struggle as a result.

City have had the most trouble facing bottom-half teams in the Premier League this season, losing to the likes of Aston Villa, Leicester City, Sunderland and Burnley, while dropping points to Hull City and Queens Park Rangers.

The lack of form to the sides around them has seen Stoke drop to 12th with 15 points so far. Only Leicester City (7) and Queens Park Rangers (8) have lost more games than Mark Hughes’ side, which will certainly be a worry to him so far.

Ladbrokes are giving odds of 1/5 for the Potters to finish the season in the bottom-half as a result, which would be a big disappointment given how well they did in 2013/14 under the former Man City boss – finishing 9th with a record points tally.
