St Patrick’s Athletic 1/1 to win against Galway United in Friday’s Irish Airtricity League clash

Posted June 29th, 2017 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Irish Airtricity League
Market: St Pat’s to win against Galway
Odds: 1/1 @ William Hill

St Patrick’s Athletic welcome Galway United to Richmond Park in the Irish Airtricity League on Friday evening, and are favourites to come out on top in a battle at the bottom. St Pat’s have been marginally better than a Galway side still without a win on the road this season, and are expected to pick up a much-needed three points to go four points clear of the visitors.

Liam Buckley’s St Patrick’s Athletic side are currently 11th in the Irish Airtricity League table with 16 points from 19 games this season, coming off the back of three draws and three defeats from their last half a dozen outings. St Pat’s have picked up four points from their previous four home games ahead of this week’s clash, and will fancy their chances given Galway’s woeful away record.

As for the visitors, Tommy Dunne’s Galway United side find themselves rock bottom of the division with one fewer point than St Pat’s. Galway have lost five of their last six games, and away from home are yet to win in 10 outings. As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 1/1 for St Pat’s to win against Galway.
