Southampton 4/6 to see past Newcastle on Saturday

Southampton are being backed with odds of 4/6 from Coral to win against Newcastle United this weekend. Mauricio Pochettino’s men did lose their last game 3-2 to Tottenham Hotspur, but they did win back to back games against Crystal Palace & Norwich City prior to the Spurs defeat.

Newcastle will have manager Alan Pardew back in the stadium, but he still has a touchline ban to contend with. The side aren’t in the best of form either. They lost 3-0 at home to Everton, and have lost five of their last eight in the league.

They drew 1-1 with Southampton when the two sides met earlier this season, but the Saints will greatly fancy their chance this time around. While both sides do have little to play for – with their top-half positions all but confirmed due to the gap between sides above and below them – Southampton’s highest ever league finish is 8thin the Premier League, so Pochettino would love to try and better that this campaign.

Southampton have only lost once at home to a side outside of the top-6, so Newcastle will have their work cut out.
