Sergio Aguero put in a miserable performance in Manchester City’s Champions League defeat to Barcelona, while also having performed badly in the game previous to Wigan in their 2-1 FA Cup defeat, but Ladbrokes are backing him with odds of 4/5 to score anytime against their next opponents Hull City.

The Argentine striker failed to score the first time the two sides met earlier this season, and his form has been questioned since his return from injury, but with manager Manuel Pellegrini continuing to play him in the starting XI, it’s only a matter of time before the ex-Atletico Madrid man fires again for City.

This season, Aguero has scored 15 goals from 17 league games in an injury-hit season with the Sky Blues. Although he has returned, he looks a shadow of his former self, and it’s clear he isn’t fully fit. But he’s been afforded the chance to play his way out of his slump in big matches for City this season – which they’ve recently lost.
