Looking to carry on their impressive run of form from this summers World Cup, Russia will welcome Sweden to the Stadion Kaliningrad in Thursday’s UEFA Nations League.

Starting with the hosts, after enjoying a very impressive run to the quarterfinals while hosting this summers World Cup, Russia share their League B group with both Turkey and Sweden. In Russia’s opening UEFA Nations League matchup, they picked up an impressive 2-1 win away at Turkey before putting five past the Czech Republic in last months international friendly. Russia are now unbeaten in their last four matches in 90 minutes and they also picked up an historic penalties victory over Spain in the last 16. Thursday’s hosts have also now scored 16 goals in their last five matches on home soil.

As for Sweden, while the visitors did do an impressive job of securing a quarterfinals finish over the summer, they have struggled since their 2-0 loss against England. In their opening UEFA Nations League matchup, the Yellows slumped to a 3-2 loss at home to Turkey. Also suffering a 2-0 loss against Austria in their last international friendly, Sweden have now lost their last three matches in all competitions. The visitors have also failed to win any of their last three meetings against Russia, losing two and drawing one.
