Could Robin Van Persie leave Man Utd in the summer?
Competition: Premier League
Market: Van Persie to league Man Utd in the summer
Odds: 7/4 @ Coral
Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie has been linked to a potential exit from the side all the way through the current league campaign, but odds on his exit have been slashed after he most recently hinted he’s grown frustrated with manager David Moyes’ tactics.
Following Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat away to Olympiakos, Van Persie said a number of his teammates were occupying the positions he normally takes up in games, which forced him to ‘have to change (his) tactics’.
No mention about the shot from inside the area that he blazed over the bar in the second half, but it’s clear the 30-year old hasn’t been happy at the club ever since former long-serving manager Sir Alex Ferguson left in the summer – as he joined in August 2012 unbeknownst it was to be The Scot’s last season in management.
Coral are offering 7/4 odds of Van Persie leaving the club in the summer, and it’s his former side who could well be bringing him back in. There’s reports of his agent Kees Vos holding talks with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger with a deal potentially in the offing for the next campaign.
