Real Madrid 1/2 to win the Spanish La Liga title this season
Competition: Spanish La Liga
Market: Real Madrid to win the title
Odds: 1/2 @ William Hill
Real Madrid suffered a 2-1 defeat away to Sevilla which ended their 40-game unbeaten run under manager Zinedine Zidane but still remain top of the table with a game in hand in the Spanish La Liga table. Los Blancos have let their competitors back into the title race following the recent loss but could still go four clear if they win their game in hand to come.
Zidane’s men are top of the Spanish La Liga table with 40 points from 17 games this season, coming off the back of four wins from their last six, having suffered only one defeat in 2016/17. Real have the third-best defensive record, second-best home record, and the second-best away record in La Liga, and can open up a gap between them and the chasing pack if they can bounce back from the Sevilla loss.
Real Madrid have seen their fierce rivals Atletico Madrid and Barcelona win the La Liga title in the three seasons since their last, but they look the most likely side to win the crown given Barca are struggling for consistency, while Sevilla are expected to fall by the way side in the coming months. William Hill are giving odds of 1/2 for Real to win the title this season as a result.
