Queens Park Rangers 7/2 to be the Premier League’s lowest scorers this season
Competition: Premier League
Market: QPR to be lowest scorers
Odds: 7/2 @ 888 Sport
With Queens Park Rangers scoring just 60 goals last season while earning promotion via the playoffs, Harry Redknapp’s side are being tipped to be the lowest scorers in the Premier League this campaign.
The Hoops averaged just 1.3 goals per game in 2013/14, with 11 other sides in the league having bagged more goals than Rangers. QPR had seven 1-0 wins in the previous campaign, as defending a slim lead proved to be their greatest strength.
Such is their reliant on striker Charlie Austin, the Londoners won’t post a prolific tally unless Redknapp can bring in more attacking options to boost their pursuit for goals. Watford’s Troy Deeney is reportedly a target.
But 888 Sport are giving odds of 7/2 for the newly-promoted outfit to score the least amount of goals in the top flight. Crystal Palace, Burnley and even Aston Villa are likely to be among the lowest scorers too, but QPR are much more heavily reliant on one player, evident from their second top scorer last season scoring just six goals.
