Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo 5/4 to score anytime against Poland in tonight’s Euro 2016 quarter-final
Competition: Euro 2016
Market: Ronaldo to score anytime
Odds: 5/4 @ William Hill
Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to lead the line for his side against Poland in tonight’s Euro 2016 quarter-final clash, and could well be the difference in what is expected to be a tight affair at the Stade Vélodrome.
Ronaldo has enjoyed a bittersweet tournament so far, having scored two goals from five games. His efforts have come in just one game, and he’s taken more shots than any other player in the European Championships. However, his influence is key to Portugal’s performance.
Fernando Santos’ side have been far from convincing so far, finishing third in Group F with three points from a possible nine, but Portugal have proven to have goals in the team. In the group stages, 50% came from Ronaldo, but his country will need him against a defensive Poland outfit this evening.
Portugal’s opponents have conceded only one goal in the Euros this summer, so the favourites might look to their key attacker for the answer to get one over the Poland defence. And with Ronaldo likely to have many chances at the Stade Velodrome, William Hill are giving odds of 5/4 for Ronaldo to score anytime against Poland tonight.
