Portugal 4/7 to win Group I in Euro 2016 qualifiers

Competition: Euro 2016 qualifier
Market: Portugal to win Group I
Odds: 4/7 @ Bet 365

Portugal have their opening Euro 2016 qualifier against Albania today, and while they are big favourites for victory, manager Paulo Bento is eyeing up Group I, with his side’s sole objective finish top of the pack after the qualifiers are over.

They will have decent competition, however, as Denmark and Serbia are no slouches. Albania and Armenia are likely to be the whipping boys of the group, but Portugal may still find it difficult to get a result on the road against the pair.

Nevertheless, Bet 365 are giving odds of 4/7 for Portugal to finish top of Group I, but its their games against Denmark and Serbia that could decide which nation finishes at the summit over the next year, as injuries and form of players can greatly change each teams’ fortunes.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be available for Portugal’s qualifier against Albania, so Paulo Bento’s side will have to look to another trusty source in their pursuit of goals.
