Portugal 2/7 to beat Albania in first Euro 2016 qualifier
Competition: Euro 2016 qualifiers
Market: Portugal to win against Albania
Odds: 2/7 @ Bet 365
Portugal are hoping to get their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign off to a perfect start with a win against Albania tomorrow. Paulo Bento’s side are coming off the back of a disappointing World Cup, and he will be without top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently recovering from injury.
In Group I, Portugal will face Denmark, Armenia, and Albania, which should mean they will top their group with or without Ronaldo in the side. Few are giving Albania hope of getting a result, as Bento’s side have home advantage and a considerably stronger lineup to name.
Bet 365 are giving odds of 2/7 for Portugal to get all three points from their first group game, and with Denmark to be Portugal’s only competition to win the group, A Selecção want to make sure they take maximum points against Albania to put the pressure on the Danes.
Portugal do have a strong base of the side to rely upon, with Pepe and Fabio Coentrao expected to start in tomorrow’s game.
