Portugal 2/11 to win against Estonia in Wednesday night’s international friendly

Competition: International friendly
Market: Portugal to win against Estonia
Odds: 2/11 @ William Hill

Portugal welcome Estonia to the Estadio da Luz on Wednesday night in their final international friendly before this summer’s European Championships. Portugal have been inconsistent of late, and want to go into the tournament off the back of a win to build up some momentum.

Wins against the likes of Luxembourg, Belgium and Norway have been soured by defeats to Russia, Bulgaria and England. A lack of consistency is a real issue in the Portugal side, but Estonia’s woeful form ahead of Wednesday’s meeting should see the home side get back to winning ways.

The visitors are winless in their last five games in all competitions, having suffered defeats to Serbia and Lithuania recently. With Estonia scoring just one goal in their last five games, Portugal shouldn’t be put under too much pressure at the Estadio da Luz, and will likely dominate the affair for lengthy periods given the visitors’ penchant for a defensive approach.

As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 2/11 for Portugal to win against Estonia in Wednesday’s international friendly, to go into the European Championships off the back of a morale-boosting victory.
