Competition: Euro 2016
Market: Poland to win against Switzerland
Odds: 13/8 @ William Hill

Switzerland and Poland meet at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis in this afternoon’s Euro 2016 knockout clash. Poland are slim favourites to come out on top, but given the two side’s record in the tournament, it’s sure to be a close affair.

Switzerland booked their place in the last-16 of the European Championships after finishing second in Group A with five points from their three games. Switzerland are unbeaten in the tournament, conceding just one goal for their troubles, and will be looking to frustrate Poland.

As for the favourites, Poland qualified for the knockouts after finishing second in their group. Goal difference ruled them out of finishing above Germany on seven points in Group C, but they too have shown a resilient defensive record in the first handful of games.

Poland are yet to concede a goal in the tournament, while Switzerland have been breached only once, so clear-cut chances will likely be few and far between. Poland are nevertheless the stronger outfit and should dominate the possession stats for the large part.

With Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski likely to spearhead the attack, Poland have the quality to edge what is likely to be a tight affair at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis. As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 13/8 for Poland to come out on top against Switzerland to reach the Euro 2016 quarter-finals.
