Out-of-form West Ham 2/1 to miss out on a top-10 finish
Competition: Premier League
Market: West Ham to finish in the bottom-half
Odds: 2/1 @ Ladbrokes
Last night, West Ham lost 2-0 to Chelsea in the Premier League, which saw them slip to 10th in the table, with as many games left to play. The Londoners enjoyed a brilliant first-half to the campaign, but have since picked up just one win from their last 11 games. Manager Sam Allardyce finds himself under pressure as a result, but United’s chances of a strong top-half finish do appear in jeopardy while their poor form goes on.
West Ham are currently competing with the likes of Stoke City, Swansea City and Newcastle, with five points separating the four hopefuls. It’s perhaps worth noting the Hammers still have Stoke City and Newcastle to play before the end of the season, but their current form won’t make them favourites to get a result, which could see them missing out on a top-10 place.
Allardyce’s remit was to deliver a top-half finish this season, which he appeared on course to do earlier in the campaign, but they could well relinquish their spot in the table in the coming weeks if results don’t improve. Ladbrokes are giving odds of 2/1 for West Ham to finish in the bottom-half of the table come May.
