Olympiakos 7/4 to beat Burnley in Thursdays Europa League qualifier
Competition: Europa League qualifier
Market: Olympiakos win
Odds: 7/4 @ Bet 365
Now just one win away from booking their spot in the group stages of this years Europa League group stages, Greek giants Olympiakos will travel to Turf Moore on Thursday night with a healthy 3-1 advantage in hand.
Starting with the hosts, while they enjoyed a record-breaking season last year, Burnley have drastically struggled to adjust to the demands of playing more frequently. In their opening three Premier League matches, The Clarets are without a win having drawn one and lost two. Now without a win in 90 minuets in their last 10 matches in all competitions, Sean Dyche’s side also took extra time to come past both Aberdeen and Istanbul Basaksehir. Losing their last home match 3-1 to Watford, we expect this to be another difficult night for Burnley.
As for the visitors, while they could only secure a third-place finish in the Greek Super League last season, it has been a far brighter start for Olympiakos. Winning their opening game of the new campaign 1-0, the visitors are now unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions and are on a four-match winning run. Also impressing in the qualifying stage, Olympiakos beat Luzern 7-1 on aggregate in the last round and also put three past Burnley in the first leg last week. Backing the Red and Whites to come away with the win seems like the safest bet here.
