Norwich City and Aston Villa 5/2 to draw in Monday afternoon’s Premier League clash

Competition: Premier League
Market: Norwich City and Aston Villa to draw
Odds: 5/2 @ Bet 365

Norwich City and Aston Villa lock horns at Carrow Road in a relegation battle six-pointer, and a game of such magnitude could well end up as an unwanted stalemate given recent form. Norwich haven’t looked like losing at home in recent weeks, while the visitors have also been avoiding defeat in a few of their games. However, with the pair occupying two places in the bottom-four of the table, a draw isn’t enough.

Goal difference is the only thing keeping 17th-placed City out of the relegation zone 18 games into the season, but they are coming off the back of improved form, having won one and drawn one of their last three. The Canaries have struggled for consistency, and manager Alex Neil knows Monday’s clash with Villa is a must-win game in the race for survival.

As for the away side, Aston Villa haven’t won in the Premier League since the opening day. The Midlands outfit are rock bottom of the table, but have drawn three of their last four games so they are in decent shape to challenge Norwich. With the two sides having shared 10 draws between them this season, Bet 365 are giving odds of 5/2 for City and Villa to play out a stalemate at Carrow Road on Monday.
