Norwich 5/2 ‘to win to nil’ against Sunderland this weekend
Competition: Premier League
Market: Norwich ‘to win to nil’
Odds: 5/2 @ Ladbrokes
Norwich City host fellow Premier League strugglers Sunderland this weekend in a match billed as a relegation six-pointer. Despite the latter being three points adrift of safety, they have three games in hand on their rivals around them, which certainly gives Gus Poyet’s men an advantage providing they can hit a run of form.
But it won’t be easy against a Norwich side boasting solid home form this season. Only Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Everton have conceded less goals at home than Chris Hughton’s men have this season (12). And only six sides have lost less games than the Canaries (4).
Norwich have only conceded one goal in their five games at Carrow Road in 2014 – taking nine points. Sunderland have only scored once in their previous three matches, so City will certainly fancy their chances of continuing their fine home form on Saturday.
But the Black Cats will be a difficult side to beat. Prior to the 4-1defeat to Arsenal, Sunderland had taken nine points from the six games away from home, and with Premier League survival at stake, it should be a well-contested match.
