Nigeria 1/7 to qualify for the next round from Group F
Competition: World Cup
Market: Nigeria to qualify from Group F
Odds: 1/7 @ William Hill
Following a shock and somewhat fortunate 1-0 win against Bosnia-Herzegovina, Nigeria are on the cusp of getting qualified from Group F. The African side have four points from two games, and are three points clear of third place. Argentina are two ahead at the top, but Nigeria should finish second now.
It comes as a big surprise as Bosnia-Herzegovina are out of the World Cup after losing both group games. Nigeria weren’t fancied to do well in Group F, but have performed well and kept two clean sheets to all but reach the next round.
With them needing either just one point from their last game, or Iran dropping points in their clash against the now eliminate Bosnia-Herzegovina, William Hill are giving odds of 1/7 for Nigeria to qualify from Group F where they face the winners of Group E (France).
Ivory Coast and Nigeria could be the only two African sides into the next round, as the likes of Ghana and Cameroon are somewhat languishing in the bottom half of their respective groups.
