N’Golo Kante 1/9 to be named PFA Player of the Year this season
Competition: Premier League
Market: Kante to win PFA Player of the Year
Odds: 1/9 @ William Hill
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been a standout performer as the Blues bear down on the Premier League title this season, and his influence could well lead to him picking up the PFA Player of the Year award.
The French international won the title with Leicester City in his first season (2015/16), and could be on course to repeat the feat with Chelsea. Regarded as one of the best ball-winners in the Premier League, Kante has remained consistent throughout the campaign.
Only one player has made more tackles than Kante in the Premier League this season, and no player boasts more interceptions than the midfielder. Chelsea are flying high atop of the table with the second-best defensive record and Kante has been held up as the reason why.
Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has also played his part in the side’s title hunt and is second with the bookmakers to take down the award. But with Kante overlooked for the honour last season despite his outstanding form for Leicester as they won the title, William Hill are giving odds of 1/9 for the 26-year-old to be PFA Player of the Year.
