Newcastle’s Alan Pardew 1/6 to be next manager sacked
Competition: Premier League
Market: Alan Pardew next manager to leave post
Odds: 1/6 @ William Hill
Following a 1-0 away defeat to Stoke City, Newcastle manager Alan Pardew finds his job under increased pressure. The 53-year-old revealed following the final whistle that he would have talks with the club owner Mike Ashley after Newcastle’s recent loss sees them just one place from the bottom of the Premier League table after six games.
The Toon Army impressed in the first-half of last season, but their form deteriorated in the New Year onwards, and it’s crept into the new campaign.
The Magpies have just three points for their troubles this season, and have failed to score in four of their six games too. The United supporters have been very vocal in their anger towards Pardew, and were visibly heard chanting for his sacking during the Stoke City defeat last night.
While sack talk has been somewhat played down by recent reports, William Hill are giving odds of 1/6 for the 53-year-old to be the next manager to leave his post, as a departure looks in the cards in one way or another very soon.
