New York City FC and Chicago Fire 4/1 to draw in Thursdays MLS matchup
Odds: 4/1 @ Bet 365
Desperate to put their recent struggles behind them, NYCFC will welcome Chicago Fire to Yankee Stadium in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Starting with the hosts, although there were promising signs after bringing in former Manchester City coach Domènec Torrent, the Sky Blues have recently begun to struggle. After 30 MLS games, they have now won 14, drawn eight and lost eight, scoring 52 and conceding 39 in return. As for their recent form, now drawing their last two matches on the bounce, the hosts are without a win in their last six. They have also drawn 50% of their games during their winless run. With a points tally of 50, they do hold a 10 point buffer from slipping out of the playoff positions.
As for the visitors, although a place in the top six still seems unlikely in the Eastern Conference, Chicago have started to show some signs of life, even if it has come too late. After 29 games, Chicago have now won seven, drawn seven and lost 15, scoring 43 and conceding 54 in return, they do hold the second worst attacking stats in the East. As for their recent form, they have now lost just one of their last four matches in the MLS, drawing two of those. With the sides drawing four of their last six combined matches, we’re backing both sides to take away a point on Thursday.
