Montenegro and Poland 9/4 to draw Sunday’s World Cup qualifier
Competition: World Cup qualifier
Market: Montenegro to win against Poland
Odds: 9/4 @ William Hill
Montenegro welcome Poland to the Podgorica City Stadium in Sunday’s World Cup qualifier, in a game that could be a close affair. The two sides occupy the top-two spots in the group and have both been in good form of late which could mean they cancel each other out. Neither side will want to risk defeat by trying to win.
Home side Montenegro are currently second in Group E with seven points from four games, having won two of their last three outings – beating Kazakhstan and Denmark without conceding. Montenegro suffered a surprise defeat to Armenia most recently, however, and are desperate for a response.
Poland are be top of the table with 10 points, coming off the back of three consecutive wins against Denmark, Armenia and Romania. The visitors are unbeaten in the qualifiers so far and have the joint-best away form – four points from a possible six on the road.
Poland could go six points clear of Montenegro with a win but they won’t have it all their own way given the hosts have been ruthless in their own backyard. As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 9/4 for Montenegro and Poland to draw at the Podgorica City Stadium.
