AS Monaco and Colombia winger James Rodriguez has been linked with a move away from the French side this summer following a glistening World Cup performance so far. He has Brazil to face in the World Cup quarter-finals soon, but is currently the tournament’s top scorer, with five goals and two assist in four games.

His performances have helped the South American side make it to the last eight of the tournament, winning four games on the bounce, and 2013/14 Champions League winners Real Madrid are keen to procure his signature as a result. While impressing in this summer’s tournament, Rodriguez has enjoyed a good campaign for his club too.

For AS Monaco, the 22-year-old scored nine goals and made 12 assists last season, while creating 85 chances and making 45 successful dribbles. Real Madrid do have competition for places in the attacking positions but Rodriguez has previously spoken out about his desire to play for the Spanish league side.
